But Amber Rose, the celebrity, is also Amber Rose, a devoted mother of two and a loving daughter who maintains a close-knit relationship with her parents.

Actress, rapper, model, and activist Amber Rose was born Amber Rose Levonchuck, on October 21, 1983, in Philadelphia, to Dorothy Rose and Michael Levonchuck.

Amber Rose was signed by the prestigious Ford Models in 2009 after debuting in Young Jeezy and Kanye West’s 2008 music video “Put On”

Amber Rose was also featured in Nicki Minaj’s video “Massive Attack,” modeled in New York’s Fashion Week, and worked in the shows “RuPaul’s Drag Race,” and the reality show “Running Russell Simmons,” with Russel Simmons.

The model has had the support of her parents, Dorothy and Michael, throughout her career, and they are still present in her and in her two children’s lives.

Amber Rose’s Parents Are Quite Private, and Little Is Known about Them

Unlike their daughter, who has a high-profile private and professional life, Dorothy and Michael tend to keep out of the limelight. Dorothy is of Cape Verdian and Scottish descent, and Amber Rose inherited her exotic beauty.

Rose posted a bitter rant against Dorothy on Instagram Stories, accusing her of being a narcissist.

Years ago, Amber Rose had a portrait of her mother as a young woman tattooed on her arm as a tribute to Dorothy. Michael remarried after his divorce from Dorothy and gave Amber Rose two half-siblings.

Amber Rose’s parents rarely appear in public, and Dorothy’s public appearances have been at her daughter’s yearly Amber Rose SlutWalk in Los Angeles.

Amber Seems to Have Had Her Parents Share Some of Her Motherhood Moments

Amber Rose gave birth to son Sebastian Taylor Thomaz, whom she shares with ex-husband rapper Wiz Khalifa on February 21, 2013, and in 2019, she welcomed her second child, Slash Electric Alexander Edwards.

Born on October 13, Slash is the son of Amber Rose’s ex-boyfriend, producer Alexander Edwards. Ten days after Slash’s birth, Amber Rose shared sweet snaps of her new baby with his grandparents.

In the Instagram post, since deleted, Dorothy and Michael were shown tenderly cradling the tiny baby in their arms. Amber Rose captioned the post:

Amber Once Reportedly Introduced Her Partner to Her Parents, and Her Mom Has Supported Her in Bad Times

Dorothy has proved to be protective of her daughter. In 2015, Amber Rose broke up with her long-time boyfriend, singer Kanye West, who left her for Kim Kardashian.

At that time, West gave an interview in which he commented that he had taken “30 showers” after leaving Rose and before moving in with Kardashian. At the 2015 SlutWalk, Dorothy lashed back by holding a placard that read:

“[expletive] yo 30 showers!”

Amber and Her Mom Were Not on Good Terms Recently

Unfortunately, it seems that Amber Rose’s relationship with Dorothy has deteriorated. In 2021, Amber Rose broke up with Alexander Edwards and accused him of cheating.

At the same time, Rose posted a bitter rant against Dorothy on Instagram Stories, accusing her of being a narcissist. Amber Rose wrote:

“I’m tired of being mentally and emotionally abused by people that I love. I’ve been suffering in silence for a long time, and I can’t take it anymore. (. ) I refuse to let anyone damage me anymore. Family or not.”

Since then, the model hasn’t spoken of her mother or announced a reconciliation, and the status of their relationship as of early 2023 is unknown.
