Talk about body goals! Since Keeping Up With the Kardashians premiered in 2007, Khloé Kardashian has managed to change her body time and time again, inspiring fans and helping to spread a healthy message.

Thanks to a growing dedication to fitness and eating well, the younger sister of Kim and Kourtney managed to kick her habit of yo-yo dieting — and the cycle of weight loss and weight gain that went with it. And Khloé’s dedication to an active lifestyle has helped her not just slim down, but become physically strong, mentally balanced and all-around healthier too — even as she feared infertility, struggled to conceive a baby and went through a difficult divorce from Lamar Odom.

But by the time the Strong Looks Better Naked author welcomed her daughter, True, in April 2018 (with ex-boyfriend Tristan Thompson), her workout sessions and healthy diet had become such a part of her mindset and daily habits, that she was able to slim down at the rate she wanted — and keep off her post-baby weight.

“I’m still active, I still work out, but I’m not like ‘I have to lose 50 pounds in two months’ or whatever those expectations are,” the Revenge Body host told Us Weekly in September 2018. “It’s very normal to lose weight at a slow process. For me, that’s how I lost all my weight before and how it stayed off. I used to fluctuate weight because I would try all these diet fads and then I would gain the weight right back. I would always yo-yo. When I lost my weight and kept it off, it’s when I lost it slowly. I know that expression ‘the turtle wins the race’, ’cause now I know, OK, let me lose it in a healthy way so I keep it off, ’cause the last thing I want to do is yo-yo again in my life.”

A source told Us in October 2020 that Khloé’s “transformation is due to hard work in the gym,” adding that she felt “like the best version of herself” after getting healthy.

Despite her amazing results, the Good American cofounder admitted in March 2021 that negative comments about her looks hurt her feelings. “I don’t want anyone to kiss my ass. I’m not asking for that,” she wrote via Instagram at the time. “But what I am asking for is for people to realize just what articles like this [do] to someone’s soul and confidence.”

Khloé showed off her curves in an emerald green dress in 2008, but admits that her weight was always a battle. “As a girl, you have baby fat,” she explained. During her parents’ divorce in 1991, she said, “My brother [Rob] and I were always heavy. They gave us food to keep us company. All we did was eat crap.”

Slimming Down

Debuting a slimmer figure in a tight purple frock in 2009, Khloé revealed she did it by using the weight loss program QuickTrim (all three Kardashian sisters were spokeswomen for the product). “QuickTrim is seriously amazing and I swear it works. ” she wrote in a blogpost.

Taking a break from QuickTrim, Khloé stepped out in 2011 with a more toned bod, largely due to upping her exercise regimen—doing 30 minutes of cardio daily, boxing, hiking, and even using a sauna suit to work out. “It’s like a trash bag that makes you sweat,” she told Us at the time. Her goal? To be bikini ready! “Most girls in their 20s get to be in bikinis around their friends,” she explained. “I was never that girl.”

Following their wedding in 2009, NBA basketball player Lamar Odom was always a constant support through her weight struggles. “Lamar tells me he loves my body and I’m beautiful multiple times a day,” Khloé, pictured with Odom IN L.A. in 2012, has shared. “I’ve never had that before: Someone saying, ‘Without makeup, without clothes, you’re stunning.’ He loves my body and loves that womanly shape.”

Amid widespread speculation that she was pregnant, Khloe walked through LAX airport in an oversized camouflage jacket on December 8, 2017. Just 12 days later, she announced she was expecting on Instagram with a photo of her bare stomach being held from behind by boyfriend Tristan Thompson. “My greatest dream realized! We are having a baby!” she wrote, adding, “Tristan, thank you for loving me the way that you do! Thank you for treating me like a Queen! Thank you for making me feel beautiful at all stages! Khloe showed off her bump at around eight months pregnant on March 7, 2018. About a month earlier, she revealed that she’d continued exercising throughout her pregnancy, with altered sessions. “Of course, I can’t go as hard as I did before, and I really do miss my intense workouts,” she wrote on her app. “Honestly, though, I’m just happy I still have the energy! But there is another thing I miss: my pre-workout energy drinks! They made me wired in the best way possible, LOL. White hot! At the November 11, 2018 People’s Choice Awards, Khloe showed off her body in a sleeveless gown with a high slit. In July, she revealed to fans that she’d lost 33 pounds in the three months after welcoming True on April 12, 2018. “After I had True, I didn’t put any pressure on myself to lose the baby weight. I just wanted to get back to my regular routine from before I got pregnant, which was working out five to six times a week,” she wrote on her app. As it had often been before, the gym was her happy place. “I never compare myself to other women as every woman has their own journey. We also all have different priorities in our day-to-day lives. One of mine is having that one hour where I can be selfish and alone in my place of refuge,” she added. “Exercise is something I’ve always used to maintain my sanity and relieve stress. And, now that I have a baby, I still want to keep something that’s my time, my space, something I’m doing for myself.”

On November 14, 2018, Khloe showed off her post-baby body once again in a cinched leather jacket, leggings and thigh-high boots. Trainer Gunnar Peterson, who had worked with the star for years told Us, “She definitely gets it. She gets the blueprint. She gets the template… Khloé’s work ethic, that’s what doesn’t change. She understands that [working out], it’s a lifestyle.”

On her January 14, 2019 appearance with her sisters Kim and Khloe on Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen, Khloe wowed in a white pantsuit with no shirt underneath! Her trainer Don-A-Matrix told Us that same month that he trained Khloe with her NBA star beau post-baby! “I had her working out with Tristan, ‘cause her main thing was more weight loss,” he told Us. “So I was doing a lot of conditioning for him, to get him ready for the season, so that type of workout worked for her also. So when I had him running sprints uphill, that worked for her also. When I had him doing performance-enhancing exercises, the performance-enhancing exercises worked for her also because her main thing was just trying to get back to the weight and the size before the baby.”

She’s not letting Tristan Thompson hold her back!
